Scott McChesney has been an active member in the Pawlet community having been a Mettawee Community School soccer coach since 2000, Mettawee Community School Basketball coach, Mettawee Community School VINS/Four Winds Volunteer science program instructor for 8 years, Pawlet/Rupert  Merger committee member 2017/18, Currently Mettawee School District School Board Member, Past member of the Pawlet Vol Fire Dept, Past member of the Feasibility Committee -The  committee formed to study/convert the pawlet school building into the Current Pawlet Public Library and Mettawee Community School - Jisp driver - Junior instructional ski program driver for 4 years.
